Feeding Directions

Rapidly growing and compromised foals

• 4oz. Feed with alfalfa or alfalfa mix hays.
• For specific recommendations consult Doctor's Choice Supplements.

Gestational Mares and Open Mares

• Feed 60 days prior to foaling if you plan to rebreed during foal heat.
• Feed 30 days prior to foaling if planning to rebreed 30 days post foaling.
• Donor mares feed 60 days prior to insemination.
• Recipient mares feed 60 days prior to transfer.
• Feed all mares until confirmed in foal.
• Feed breeding mares over the age of 17 throughout gestational period.
• Feed 8oz. per breeding animal per day, switch to Equi-Shine pellet at 8oz. per day once confirmed in foal.

Stallions

• Feed 60 days prior to the breeding season and throughout the breeding season.
