The Equine Athlete

Feeding the performance horse presents some unique issues for the horse owner. Because of the demands of training and performing, plus higher levels of stress, the athletic horse requires higher levels of vitamins, minerals, and lysine than his neighbor who simply grazes in the pasture each day, but often his competitive endeavors require controlled energy for maximum performance and trainability.

Equi-Shine Ultimate offers high quality vitamins, organic minerals (more absorbable than synthetic), high levels of lysine (the first limiting amino acid in the equine diet), high calcium & thiamine (for a calming effect), stabilized flax seed as a source of omega 3 fatty acids (also develops a beautiful hair coat), and is in a highly palatable pelleted form. Because of the higher calcium level, this product is also indicated for horses on an all grass forage diet to properly balance calcium and phosphorous ratios. Horses with immune system issues (i.e. allergies) or absorption issues, such as horses under extreme stress or older horses, will also benefit from supplementation with Equ-Shine Ultimate due to the increased absorbability of the organic minerals.
